Happy Feast Day Saint Therese

Katherine left for Seattle this morning.  She is helping Auntie Theresa's babies make the journey out there for Theresa's further leukemia treatment.  The trip has been delayed a few times and Katherine has been in absolute anguish.

Since Auntie Theresa is her godmother, Katherine wanted to do something special for her feast day on October 1st.  She was so excited because it looked like she and Auntie Theresa would be together on the Feast of St. Therese.  Katherine scoured the internet for celebration ideas.  There were rose cupcakes, paper roses, rose cakes....and the list went on and on.  Finally, she settled for a bouquet of chocolate kiss roses.  Knowing her mother was  is a bit frazzled and does things last minute, she confided her plans in Grandma.  Grandma, being the fabulous organizer that she is, rounded up all the supplies and Katherine set to work creating her bouquet.

Coincidentally, or providentially, it happened that Mom was praying a novena to St. Therese for Auntie Theresa's healing and Katherine asked Grandma for her assistance at the end of the novena.
Thank you Saint Therese for your "Shower of Roses."
