A New Shade of White

Our laundry room has been crying for a fresh coat of paint for quite a while now, but other projects just seemed to take precedence.
Like laying in the sun and making cookies...not at the same time of course...and completing our basement and playing in the creek and hiking...you get the picture.
After we finished school today, I grabbed any white, glossy paint available on our paint shelf and slapped on a fresh coat while Michaela whipped up dinner.
A few items on the walls were eliminated and others rearranged.  Michaela bought us a key holder last spring, so that was hammered up.  Shannon will be so proud....a couple 3 inch screws will keep anything in place long enough, right?
Everything feels new and pretty and clean.
Fresh paint changes my perspective on life so quickly.  One hour you have grungy walls and not a couple hours later, all is new again.
Kinda like confession, grungy soul, then a couple minutes later, bright, shiny, new.
Which reminds me, we'd better head in to visit Father this weekend.
